This short video contains several needle felting tips for beginners to needle felting to help improve your needle felting shaping skills and to get the shape of your item looking great. There is a text version of the tips below in case you prefer to read them.

Sometimes it can be really difficult to get your needle felted items the right shape. Make sure when creating curves for example, you change the angle of your needle.
The wool will go in the direction of your needle, so as you go around a curve make sure your needle angle follows the curve you want to make.
However always bring your needle out the same direction it went in, or it can break.
Also study the angles of the shape you’re copying and look at how they relate to each other. Checking that your felted item match those angles.
If you want to know why I’m felting it upside down and how to massively improve your ability to sculpt wool you’ll want to watch my recent video where I’ll show you a fun way to help you get better at shaping.
